Very Rare Prooflike Date! Snow white with deep glass-like obverse mirrors and a satiny reverse die. The obverse approaches DPL, as it was struck before die wear began to cloud the mirrors. All PL silver Washington quarters are technically rare, but a handful of pieces; 26 for 1947-S, 12 for 1948-S, and 9 for 1946-S; have been found in PL. 1942-S quarters are extremely unusual in PL.
