And thank you to ALL of our customers for allowing us to serve you with quality coins, accurate and honest descriptions and photos, and above-and-beyond service. Your satisfaction will always be our No. A 1935 Connecticut Commemorative Half Dollar certified MS 64 by NGC. This coin features a blast-white obverse with an very light hint of Champagne tone, giving it a distinctive look that only enhances its already superb eye appeal. The obverse is virtually mark free, with only a very few contact marks that are not even visible without a loupe or a very close inspection with the naked eye. Certainly from normal viewing distance — or even close-up — there is nothing that’s visible, much less distracting. The reverse is not quite as high-end as the obverse, which probably kept this coin from gaining Gem status — although even now it’s very close, and given that it’s housed in an old holder, it might be worth a regrading submission. The reverse is still beautiful, with solid eye appeal, but it does have a smattering of contact marks here and there and a couple of small runs, only one of which is visible in hand. This coin is one of the more scarce classic commemoratives, and can be a tough coin to find with above-average eye appeal — especially one that is free of major toning. So while I wouldn’t call this a “rare find” by any measure, it is the kind of commemorative with attributes you don’t find every day. And don’t forget to check out my other listings when you have a moment. Thank you for your continued support of Shenandoah. However, coins must then be re-secured in a new cardboard flip or mylar holder for the return trip. Don’t like your item? Found a better price? Run it through the wash? OK, that would be a problem. But almost anything else that’s right, no problem. Thank you for reading and for looking at our items.
