1959 Franklin Half-Dollar Graded by NGC at PF 69. 1958 Franklin half dollar that has been assigned the highest numeric grade known to exist for this specimen. As it turns out, 1958 and 1959 are two years where CAMEO and ULTRA CAMEO designations are tough to find – especially in higher grades and having a reasonable cost! That results in higher demand for coins that are proof brilliant uncircualted such as this one. Despite this specimen not achieving the rare CAMEO or ULTRA CAMEO designation, this coin still comes with plenty of frost on it’s devices! The coin is composed of silver with a fineness of 0.9 and has a strike type of proof. It features the image of Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and Liberty Bell with a Small Eagle on the reverse. This coin was minted in Philadelphia and is considered uncirculated with a proof strike with a superior Superb Gem++ grade. The coin is encapsulated in an NGC holder and maintains about as much originality as you’d find in a high-grade mid-century modern coin. This Franklin half dollar is an excellent addition to any coin collection and a great piece of American history and is a great value considering is wonderful eye appeal. Feel free to request other photos and we’d be happy to provide. We shot a few sets on this one with different lighting characteristics but no filtering or doctoring – all natural photos!
